Dealing with Incongruency

🌟 Navigating Incongruency 🌟

One of the most profound insights I've encountered in my journey is the similarity between counselling and change management. A mentor once shared that many clients seek counselling due to a sense of incongruence—the gap between their expectations and the reality they face.

This resonates deeply in the realm of change management. As leaders, our role is to support individuals and organisations through change. With the purpose often to get staff to take on extra stress and work, on top off what they are already doing, to create efficiencies and innovation 💡

For me sometimes that means applying change management techniques, sometimes counselling techniques and sometimes it's just the wealth of accumulated experience you call upon.

Either way you're trying to help people cope with the reality of a situation and help them still find a way to move forward, ideally down the track with renewed inspiration ✨️
